Safeguarding
At Cheswick Green we are committed to the safeguarding of your children. All staff receive training in child protection, which is updated regularly.
We try to ensure that children know that there are adults in the school whom they can approach if they are worried.
It is important that parents and school work together to understand how our children are using the internet, mobile phones and gaming and to help keep them as safe online as we aim to keep them offline.
We recognise that because of the day to day contact staff have with the children, they are well placed to observe the possible signs of possible abuse and neglect. The school recognises its responsibility to discuss with Education and Children’s Services’ Duty Assessment & Referral Team, any significant concerns about a child which may indicate physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse or neglect, in accordance with the Local Safeguarding Children Board child protection procedures.
If you have any concerns and wish to speak to a member of staff, our school Designated Safeguarding Leads are the following people: Mr Griffiths, Mrs Seickell, Mrs Mitchell, Mrs Rostron and Mrs Gilham.
