Our Curriculum

At Cheswick Green Primary, our curriculum is designed to help every child build strong foundations in English, Maths, Science and the wider curriculum, while developing confidence, curiosity and resilience. We follow the National Curriculum for England and shape our quality first teaching around clear research (e.g. the Education Endowment Foundation). Within each subject, our units and lessons have been carefully planned to ensure learning is progressive, purposeful, engaging and adaptive for all our children. We teach subject knowledge carefully, revisit key ideas over time and develop children's oracy. Through a consistent focus on wellbeing, behaviours for learning and opportunities to learn collaboratively, we aim to create a calm, supportive environment where children can thrive and make progress.
