The transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 marks the time when the children take on the challenges of taking greater responsibility and become more independent with their learning. We try to ensure that the transition from year 2 to year 3 is as smooth as possible so that children settle happily into the new routines of year 3.
With lots of exciting new topics and opportunities, we hope that the children will thrive. We are committed to working closely with parents to ensure that every child has a happy and successful year.
We promote a growth mindset approach to learning so that children recognise that mistakes are all part of learning and that taking on new challenges is part of the learning process. We very much have an ‘I can’ approach to learning in year 3!
We can’t wait to share your child’s successes and achievements with you during the year and are really looking forward to working closely with parents in this endeavour!
